Since opening our doors in 1989, Families and Work Institute’s rigorous, ongoing research on the U.S. workforce and workplace has provided insights to inform decision-making and strengthen businesses, families and communities. Our projects have translated this research into action on issues like workplace effectiveness and flexibility, bringing unprecedented improvements for countless employers and employees.

And now an exciting new chapter for our work begins!

With great pleasure, FWI is thrilled to announced two partnerships, which will continue the legacy of these historic accomplishments. A new partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) will continue FWI’s two national studies — the National Study of the Changing Workforce and the National Study of Employers — as well as  and the new future of our two national studies and When Work Works project at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). We are also creating a new scholarship fund we are creating for using data from our national studies. The partnership for our child development work, Mind in the Making, which became a program of the Bezos Family Foundation in March 2016!!

Thank you to all our friends, colleagues and partners whose talents, insights and guidance have been invaluable to FWI. We look forward to continuing the legacy of this important work with you.
