PROGRAM

3:30-3:40        Welcome and Introduction

Leadership in Today’s Economy takes a fresh look at what motivates men and women to move up the leadership pipeline, and gives business leaders and talent management professionals new insights they can use to strengthen their efforts to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders.

3:40-4:45         The Findings: A Journey into the Data

What motivates men and women to advance up the pipeline? We’ll look at:

  • The Promise of Advancing: How do men and women in the pipeline perceive what their senior leaders think the promise is? And what do pipeline leaders actually want?
  • Prioritizing Work and Life: What approach has the best results in each sphere?
  • An Effective Manager: What do men and women in the pipeline want from their managers and whom do they look to as role models?
  • The Home Front: Who is doing what at home and what do men and women say they need to manage the home front?
4:45-5:15        Table Discussions and Report Out

This is your chance to discuss the findings and start to formulate action steps.

5:15-5:30         Wrap Up

After summarizing the conversation, we will discuss the implications of the research both for companies and for Families and Work Institute.

Families and Work Institute’s 2015 Gala will directly follow the Symposium. To join us for the Gala reception and dinner program, which will include a discussion of women and leadership, please purchase your tickets here.
