FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES Fujifilm Corporate Giving Program The goal of the Fujifilm Corporate Giving Program is to enhance the quality of life for the residents in the communities where company employees live and work. Major facilities are located in California, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. Contributions are made to specific projects or programs in the areas of education, environment, arts and culture, and health and human services. Community Support from Target Target Stores Community Giving Program The Target Stores Community Giving Program supports nonprofit organizations in the communities where the company's stores are located. There are currently stores in every state, with the exception of Alaska, Hawaii, and Vermont. The company's grants focus on the arts but includes much more. Nonprofit organizations throughout the United States are eligible to apply for cash grants or one-time product donations. Applications are accepted year-round. Funds for Projects Focused on the Great Lakes Region Joyce Foundation The Joyce Foundation supports efforts to protect the environment, reduce poverty and violence, and to ensure access to good schools, decent jobs, and a diverse and thriving culture. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking on initiatives impacting the Great Lakes region, specifically the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Grants are also awarded to national organizations for projects that have a significant impact on public policies affecting the Great Lakes region. The Foundation's program areas include education, with a focus on early childhood education and strengthening teacher quality in low-performing public schools; employment; the environment; gun violence; money and politics; and culture. The geographic focus varies by program area. Prospective applicants must submit a letter of inquiry at least six to eight weeks prior to the next proposal deadline of August 16, 2004.
