Work-Life Friendly Employers Are a Click Away

Now it’s easy to do with a new searchable tool.

The tool uses a database made up of our When Work Works Award winners, and it provide information about top employers by size, industry, location or type of flexibility program. This free online Guide profiles promising and innovative practices from employers who are making work “work” better for both the bottom line and for employees. They have been selected through a rigorous application process that incorporates an employer and employee survey.

The When Work Works initiative, part of a partnership between Families and Work Institute (FWI) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), recognizes employers that have created effective workplaces based on six components: autonomy; work-life fit; supervisor support for work success; satisfaction with earnings, benefits and opportunities for advancement; opportunities for learning; and a culture of trust.
