Step-by-Step Toolkit for Workers Who Want Flexibility At Work

October 19, 2012

NEW YORK, NY — Families and Work Institute (FWI) has just published an online resource for employees wondering how to get the flexibility at work they crave, everything from telecommuting to job sharing. With “WORKFLEX: Employee Toolkit” employees can now take the promise of flexibility at work into their own hands.

It offers workers a blueprint for making workflex a reality in their careers, and it provides a realistic perspective on what workflex options are possible for the companies that employ them. It features real-world advice and guidance from workplace experts including self-assessment tools; direction on how to ask for workflex; and how-to’s on making it work once implemented. It’s a valuable workflex resource for every worker and manager striving for flexibility at work.

It’s available for free download here.

For those workers looking to find the most workflex friendly employers out there, we’ve also just published the “2013 Guide to Bold New Ideas for Making Work Work,” which includes profiles of pioneer companies — from all industries and all sizes—transforming the workplace by offering unique work-life options such as unlimited days off and promoting workers who take workflex.

The Bold New Ideas Guide is also a great resource for journalists looking to write about employers and workflex offerings.

Both the Employee Toolkit and the Bold New Ideas Guide were done in partnership with FWI and the Society for Human Resource Management. The publications will officially be debuted at the 2012 Workflex Conference in Chicago next week.
