VET Spotlight Replaces VET Award

rethink-VETs-250w-41hFamilies and Work Institute (FWI) wants to shine a light on the best practices among employers who go above and beyond when it comes to hiring and supporting veterans. To that end, we’re excited to announce our new VET Spotlight that will do just that.

FWI is transitioning from the Veterans Employment Transition (VET) Award  we created to honor companies that have gone the extra mile to help veterans returning to the civilian workplace to spotlighting employer efforts as part of our  When Work Works (WWW) Award.

This Award process, which FWI does in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), has a broad reach across the country tWWW Partnership Logo2[1]o employers of all sizes. We believe that incorporating what companies are doing for veterans into the WWW Award will have a greater impact than continuing a stand-alone award.

Save the date! Applications for the WWW Award will open on August 17 at Only companies that apply for WWW will be eligible for the VET Spotlight.
